Proof of Just How Terribly the Economy is Doing

The economy is quite bad, and indications are that it's getting worse. But it didn't really hit home for me until I was out running yesterday and saw this:



Yes, things have gotten so bad in America that a plastic bucket full of discarded carpeting is now considered "edible." Now, the entire "food pyramid" will have to be reimagined for these difficult times. Five servings of carpet every day. Four of wood shavings. Three of dirt. Two of plastic bags.

Perhaps worst of all- there was a group of innocent children playing nearby.

don't forget used paper products (some of which are food flavored, yum) and plastic bottles. no wonder so many people want to be vampires. €:

True- On an episode of "The Simpsons" "Unckie Herb" pointed out that discarded pizza boxes are an excellent source of cheese.
